About BALTICCA
BALTICCA is a family-run Polish design studio led by Michał Gryczka. Everything we make is imagined, drawn and built by hand in our own atelier. We believe we live better with fewer things around us — as long as each one is beautiful, honestly made and built to last.
For us, better means closer — to the people we love. Our pendant lights are made to bring them together the way a campfire once did: a reason to slow down, gather around the table and talk long into the night about the journeys you’ve shared.
Design & technology
Every BALTICCA luminaire is handmade from one of two woods — American walnut or oak. No two are exactly alike, yet they all share a single signature: a wooden interior.
That wooden interior is what gives the light its character — warming it, softening it, making it easy to live with. We set the source deep inside the body and pass it through a fine Italian diffuser, so what reaches the room is a gentle glow rather than glare.
Rooted in Poznań
Poznań is our home and our workshop — the place where BALTICCA began. Here we drew the first sketches, prototyped by hand and built the tools and techniques that shape every lamp we make. This city of makers gave us its craftsmanship and its patience, and each piece still leaves our atelier from the same Polish soil where the idea was born.
